How Skipping Breakfast Can Increase Your Cellulite

Posted by Nima Rafizadeh on

There are two major reasons why people skip breakfast: they don’t have time and/or they want to lose weight.

It’s difficult to argue that skipping what many consider the most important meal of the day won’t save you time. Even if you prepare something to eat the night before, you still have to take time to eat it.

But it’s easy to show you many reasons why skipping breakfast will probably not help you lose weight and can, in fact, make you gain weight. If you’re in a constant struggle against the appearance of cellulite, that weight gain can make your struggle even tougher.

Here are just a few ways that not eating breakfast can lead to weight gain and increase the appearance of your cellulite.

1. It Can Make You Eat More Later

When you skip breakfast, your appetite kicks into overdrive, which can force you to overeat later on.

2. It Can Make Your Body Store Fat

Your body is an amazing organism. It can detect even the slightest threats to your health and wellbeing and immediately setoff powerful defense mechanisms to safeguard against them. When it senses an interruption to its energy supply, like when you skip breakfast, it starts storing fat to preserve energy.

3. It Can Slow Your Metabolism

Your metabolic rate is the rate at which your body burns food energy. A higher rate burns more energy, which means less of that energy gets stored as fat. Again, when you go without breakfast, your body sees it as a sign of a potentially bigger problem. So it slows down the rate of energy burn to make the energy you have last longer.

There’s no reason to be ashamed of your cellulite, but there’s no reason to make it more noticeable either. There’s every reason to feel good about how you look and Mass & Slim shapewear helps you do just that from the moment you put it on.
