Why Do I Have Cellulite On My Stomach?

TheBlackPurple lists reasons as to why cellulite is on your stomach

No one likes the look of cellulite anywhere on their bodies. But of all the places you’d probably wish you didn’t have it, it's the cellulite on your stomach. You don’t have to see your bum when you look in the mirror in the morning. But your tummy? There it is. You can’t avoid the sight of the cottage cheese dimpling.

While cellulite most often appears on the buttocks and thighs, you can develop cellulite almost anywhere on your body. And there are many reasons why it might appear on your stomach before other areas.

Why You Have Cellulite on Your Stomach

The first thing to remember cellulite is not a bad thing, it doesn’t affect your health, you can’t get rid of cellulite and 90% of women have it somewhere on their body. But none of that means you have to like it.

Before we begin, cellulite is caused by under-skin fat cells pushing up against the skin between the connective tissue that attaches the skin to your body. With that in mind, here are a few possible reasons why you have tummy cellulite and what you can do to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

  1. Your Body Type - We all have different body types that we can’t do much about. Some of us are apple shaped, which is larger on top, smaller below; pear-shaped, larger below, smaller on top; banana-shaped, which mean fewer curves from top to bottom and hour-glass shaped. Depending on your body type, you may be pre-inclined to store more belly fat than others.
  2. Your Age - As you get older, there are two reasons why you might notice more body fat around your middle, even if you don’t gain weight. First, in postmenopausal women, lower levels of estrogen can trigger a shift of fat deposits to your stomach. Second, muscle mass shrinks as you age, which can leave your skin less toned.
  3. You’re Overweight - Whether or not your body tends to store fat around your tummy, any excess weight you have can add to stomach fat.

How to Reduce the Appearance of Cellulite

Basically, if you can manage to lose weight, you can reduce the fat levels that make cellulite look worse. A healthy diet, especially one that includes healthy fats, combined with regular exercise can promote weight loss.

You can also use anti-cellulite shapewear, including Mass & Slim’s slimming waist shaper, which is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of cellulite when worn as directed.

I am a critical care nurse and these leggings are saving my legs. I am no longer feeling leg fatigue at the end of my shift which has alleviated my knee pain. In addition my legs look smoother. My husband noticed the back of my thighs appeared less dimpled and he was a skeptic. I am ordering a second pair and I am going to try the bra this time too.

I have been wearing my mass and slim leggings for less than a week. I have already noticed tightening and toning in my legs, butt and stomach. I`m also seeing a reduction in cellulite and smoothing of my skin. Very impressed for the first week! I never submit reviews but if you are looking for something to help get u in shape and to look toned, these leggings are the bomb! Worth every dime I paid. I will post back in thirty days with an update but so far I`m extremely thrilled with these leggings! Great results!
