3 Foam Roller Cellulite Exercises

by Nima Rafizadeh on Jan 22 2019
Many of us want to be in better shape and reduce the appearance of our cellulite. Many of us don’t have the time or desire to buy gym memberships, visit the gym and/or wear embarrassingly tight clothing in front of others. Many of us would love to find a way to exercise and reduce cellulite that is fast, easy and can be done in the comfort of our own home. Foam roller cellulite exercises might be just the answer you’re looking for. What Are Foam Rollers? In case you haven’t heard of it, foam rolling is one of the simplest, easy to do and versatile ways to exercise ever. Foam roller moves help you save time by doubling up on the benefits you get. Generally speaking, most foam roller exercises are similar to regular moves, like a plank, but the foam roller adds the benefits of a deep-tissue massage as you perform the move. And if you exercised in anti-cellulite shorts, you’d get even more benefits.Massage helps improve blood flow and lymphatic drainage, which helps bring healthy nutrients to your skin while getting rid of impurities. The result is healthier connective tissue under your skin, and better skin tone, both of which can reduce the orange-peel effect of cellulite Try These Foam Roller Exercises to Reduce Cellulite Back-of-Thigh Roll - While sitting on the floor with your legs stretched straight in front of you, place your hands on the floor behind your back, raise your butt and place the roller just above the backs of your knees. With your fingers pointing towards your knees, raise your body off the floor and slowly push it forward so the roller moves along the back of your thighs to just below your butt. Pull your body back to the original position. Do the exercise 10 times. The Hip Roll - While lying on your right side, put the roller under your hip. With your right leg extended, place your left foot in front of your right knee. Lift your body with both arms. Roll your body up and down so that the roller massages the outside of your thigh. Repeat 10 times. The Can-Can Tush Roll - Sit on the roller bend your knees and keep your feet together in front of the roller. The 6 Best Diet Cocktails

by Nima Rafizadeh on Jan 16 2019
Before we get to the “best diet cocktails” part, we really feel it’s very important to stress one point. No amount of alcohol, whether it’s in a diet cocktail or in any of its other forms, is good for losing weight and making your cellulite look better. Alcoholic drinks, including the cocktails listed below, have more calories than we think. In fact, most of the cocktails below have more calories than a can of regular Coca-Cola (139 cals). The Best Cocktails if You’re on a Diet Forgive us for the warnings after such a tempting title. We know it’s the holiday season, and that calls for enjoying a cocktail or two with friends and family. So, without further ado, these cocktails have fewer calories than most. (Calorie counts are for drinks with 1.5 ounces of alcohol.) Old Fashioned - 154 cal. - Even the dash of sugar that’s called for in most Old Fashioned recipes can’t keep this bourbon-based favourite off the list. Make sure you add some nutrients with fresh-squeezed lime! Gin & Tonic - 148 cal. - The perennial thirst quencher of the cocktail crowd. Clean and clear. Red Wine - 123 cal. - While a 5 oz. glass of wine has fewer calories than a can of Coke, the can of Coke is 12 oz. Vodka Soda - 96 cal. - Here’s a clue to how many calories are in alcohol. Vodka is about the lowest calorie straight alcohol there is. And there are no calories in the soda water. So those 96 calories are all in the vodka Rum & Diet Coke - 96 cal. - This diet version of the Havana Libre is as popular as cocktails get. But beware diet versions of regular soft drinks. They can trick your body into thinking it has the energy it needs. When your body finds out nothing’s there, it can overreact.   Champagne! - 90 cal. - Yes! It can’t get any better than champagne being the best alcoholic beverage for a diet. But there is a caveat, a serving of champers is only 4 oz., which is less than the standard serving of red wine and mixed drinks. Please enjoy your cocktails responsibly this holiday season. And if you want to look fabulous while enjoying them, wear a figure-flattering slimming waist shaper under your cocktail outfit. The Top 5 Reasons Why Women Choose The Black Purple

by Nima Rafizadeh on Jan 09 2019
We all choose what we wear for many different reasons. Some people like to always be on-trend in fashion. Others only shop for the least expensive clothing. So we wondered why women chose The Black Purple. What is The Black Purple? The Black Purple offers a line of slimming shapewear for women. The Mass & Slim Shorts, Mass & Slim Leggings and Mass & Slim Slimming Waist Shaper are clinically proven to reduce inches from target areas, and the orange peel effect of cellulite. The shapewear works because of the hundreds of Tourmaline® beads embedded in the viscose bamboo fabric. As you wear your Mass & Slim shapewear, the beads have a gentle massaging effect on your skin that improves blood and lymph flow. Why Choose The Black Purple? We always ask customers why they decided to wear our anti-cellulite shapewear. Over the years, we hear some of the answers over and over again. It’s Comfortable - This is probably the most common reason we hear for wearing Mass & Slim. People are surprised that, considering its effects, you can still wear it comfortably all day long. It Works - With all the empty promises around weight-loss and cellulite reduction, another thing that people are surprised about is the fact that Mass & Slim actually works. I Feel Really Good When I Wear It - From the minute you put on any Mass & Slim garment, you see a flattering improvement in your shape. Many of our customers remark about the boost in their confidence, both in business situations and social interactions. I Like the Idea of It - We all want to look and feel better. But many people don’t have the time to go to the gym or eat a healthier diet. They like the idea of doing something to improve their shape and weight without it costing them any extra time. It Makes Sense - When people choose Mass & Slim, they’ve usually tried lots of other ways to lower their weight or make their cellulite look better. But they'll say many of those other methods, like anti-cellulite creams or brushing, don’t make sense. Conversely, they can easily understand the idea of a massaging action from wearing Mass & Slim and the effect it can have on their measurements and dimpled skin. How To Reduce Cellulite On Your Buttocks

by Nima Rafizadeh on Dec 21 2018
Even if you can manage to follow the example set by more and more people to accept your cellulite, that doesn’t mean you will like it. And if there is one place on our bodies where we don’t like to see cellulite the most, it’s our bums. Why You Don’t Like Cellulite on Your Buttocks What’s one of the first things you look at in the mirror when you try on a new outfit? You spin around and check your butt. Small, medium or large, your butt is sort of prominent, so cellulite’s orange peel skin may look worse there than anywhere else. 3 Ways to Reduce Cellulite on Your Buttocks First, you know by now that there is no way to completely get rid of cellulite. Over 90 percent of women and more than a few men have cellulite to some extent. There are many things you can do, like losing weight and eating a healthier diet, that will help make your cellulite less noticeable.  That said, there are some ways to help reduce cellulite’s unmistakable cottage cheese appearance specifically on your buttocks. Don’t Sit for Extended Periods - Sitting in the same position for a long time can reduce the circulation in your butt. That blood flow brings healthy nutrients and oxygen that keeps your skin and its connective tissue strong. And it helps fight the effects of cellulite. Use a Dry Brush - Massaging the skin is another great way to boost your circulation. Dry brushing affected areas a few times a week will help. These anti-cellulite shorts and leggings also massage your skin as you wear them. Tone Your Butt - Any exercise can reduce body fat everywhere on your body. But exercises focused on toning butt muscles will also help the skin above those muscles look smoother. Squats, lunges, and activities that use your legs, like hiking and bike riding, are great for toning your rear too. Next up, skincare products you’d shouldn’t be wasting your money on!
Find out how much red wine is good for you in today's blog post by The Black Purple

How Much Red Wine is Good for You?

by Nima Rafizadeh on Dec 12 2018
For those who felt like anything they enjoyed, from desserts to binge-watching Netflix, turned out to be bad for their health, there was always one hope. The long-held belief that a moderate amount of red wine was actually good for you felt like an inviting oasis in a desert of unhealthy habits. The Good and Bad of Red Wine Before we get into how much red wine is good for you, it helps to look at the health benefits, and potential health threats, credited to drinking moderate amounts of red wine. Red Wine Benefits Most of the benefits of drinking red wine are due to its high levels of antioxidants, including resveratrol, catechin, epicatechin, and proanthocyanidins. Generally speaking, the following are accepted beneficial effects of drinking red wine. Improves Heart Health - Antioxidants promote a healthy heart by reducing heart disease and heart attacks. Lowers the Risk of Cancer - Considering cancer results from the oxidation of cells, antioxidants help to counteract that effect. Maintains Good HDL Cholesterol - Another way that red wine is ‘heart healthy’ is by helping to retain good HDL cholesterol in the blood, which lowers the risk of heart disease. Lowers Blood Pressure - Lower blood pressure means less risk of blood vessel damage and blood clotting. Negative Effects of Red Wine The main downside of red wine is that it’s an alcoholic beverage. Weight Gain - Alcoholic drinks, including beer, wine, and mixed drinks, are generally high in calories. Coupled with the fact that alcohol consumption can lower your willpower and you are faced with a double-whammy from red wine that can promote weight gain and the appearance of cellulite. Liver Issues - More than 2 or 3 glasses of red wine per day is linked to a higher risk of liver disease. Increased Risk of Other Health Issues - Moderate to heavy consumption of alcohol has been shown to increase the risk of health issues like diabetes and depression. How Much Red Wine Should You Drink? The answer depends on the individual. Some people can metabolize alcohol better than others. If you don't drink alcohol now, you probably shouldn’t start. Stick to Dietary Guidelines - Generally accepted consumption guidelines for alcoholic beverages (one ounce of spirits, eight ounces of wine, 12 ounces of beer) are one to one and a half drinks per day for women, and one to two per day for men. Give Yourself a Break - Even with the daily guidelines, there is evidence that you can reduce some of the negative effects by having one or two alcohol-free days per week. Don’t ‘Save Up’ - You can eliminate the benefits of red wine, and increase the risks, by binge drinking. There are other ways to get the same benefits that red wine may deliver, including a healthier diet and better fitness. If you have noticed some negative effects of alcohol consumption, like more pronounced cellulite, slimming shapewear, including anti-cellulite shorts, can help. How To Start Getting Fit After 40: Your New Year’s Resolution Game Plan

by Nima Rafizadeh on Dec 05 2018
Are you ready for this? You’re over age 40, or “middle-aged” as some might call it (whatever that means!). If that fact is distressing, we have a suggestion. Improve your physical fitness. It’s a great way to look and feel younger, not to mention a great way to avoid heart disease and other illnesses. Your 2019 New Year’s Resolution But getting fit after 40 means taking a more deliberate approach to your fitness. So this New Year’s, why not make a resolution to put together a fitness plan. Before you do any added physical activities, you should take some precautions. First, let your doctor know about your plans. Second, listen to your body. If you feel any sort of pain or discomfort, stop what you’re doing to avoid injuries. A Game Plan for How to Start Getting Fit After 40 The first step in the plan is to simply get more active. Any extra activity in your day is helpful whether you want to lift weights or head out for a walk with your friends. This can be simply climbing an extra flight of stairs or parking further from the mall. That said, here are a few other pointers for your fitness plan. Start Slowly - It’s the new year, you‘re inspired to ‘get fit’. But don't let your enthusiasm get the better of you. If you want to do some strength training, start with weights that are easy to lift. If you’re going to jog, don’t run until you’re breathing so hard, you can’t speak. Hiring a personal trainer is a great way to hit your goals while working at a pace that’s good for your body. Think About Your Flexibility - As you age, you lose flexibility in your muscles and joints. That increases your chances of injury and makes it harder to get active. Consider making yoga, foam rolling and stretches part of your fitness plan. Strength Training is Crucial - We’re not talking about becoming muscle-bound. As you age, you lose muscle mass. Without working on your muscles, they can atrophy. Strength training also makes your bones stronger, reduces joint pain and can help you lose weight to improve the appearance of your cellulite. Consider high-intensity interval training (HIIT) which burns more calories and helps you build muscles. Work Your Core - It is literally at the core of everything you do physically. From getting out of bed to walking around the block, a strong core makes them all easier to do. And strengthening your core is as easy as adding planks to your activities a few times a week. Be Good to Yourself - Setting unrealistic goals can make it more difficult to stick with your plan. Set achievable targets and do everything you can to encourage yourself. Maybe you can find inspiration from like-minded groups on social media. Using anti-cellulite leggings as you workout can help you look and feel better from the moment you start getting fit. How to Maximize Your Cellulite Reduction Results

by Nima Rafizadeh on Nov 30 2018
As you continue to learn more about cellulite and how to really reduce its appearance, it might be time to take it to another level. It’s one thing to hear that healthy eating and more exercise can contribute to smoothing your cellulite dimples. But there are particulars of a healthy diet and exercise routine that could produce better results than others. 3 Ways to Maximize Cellulite Reduction Some cellulite treatments, including injected skin fillers and laser techniques that have been shown to temporarily make your cellulite look better. But we’re going to stick to healthier cellulite-reduction tactics that you can do on your own. Include Anti-Inflammatory Foods in Your Diet - Luckily, a healthy diet can be just as varied and tasty as any. But if you want to get better cellulite reduction results, try eating foods with more anti-inflammatory properties. These include tomatoes, green leafy vegetables like spinach and kale; nuts like almonds and walnuts; fruits like strawberries, blueberries and oranges; and fatty fish like tuna and salmon. Chronic inflammation can lower your ability and desire to lead a more active, cellulite-reducing lifestyle. Make Strength Training Part of Your Exercise Routine - When many of us think about starting an exercise routine, we think of jogging or some other cardio-based activities. Any extra activity is beneficial for your health and cellulite. However, if you want to see the most improvement in your cellulite, you should try more strength training. You don’t need to ‘bulk-up’. But building and toning muscles helps your skin look smoother. Be Strategic About Drinking Water - Now you’ve heard it all right?! ‘strategic’ water drinking? Yes, really. Similar to exercise, drinking up to eight glasses of water a day helps to keep your joints, muscles and skin working and looking their best. But if you want to see better results in the appearance of your cellulite, try drinking a glass of water before every meal, or before you go to a party. It will reduce how much you eat and drink. If you’re looking for a clinically-proven way to start reducing the appearance of your cellulite today, check out our anti-cellulite shapewear.

5 Cellulite Facts & Myths

by Nima Rafizadeh on Nov 22 2018
If you’re a regular reader of The Black Purple blog, you know we take a lot of shots at the portrayal of cellulite in the media. So today we thought we’d hand out at a kudos for one of the fairest most accurate articles we’ve come across on the subject: 15 Myths and Facts About Cellulite. What Makes This Cellulite Facts Article Better? The first striking thing about this article is that it’s five years old. A lot of perceptions about cellulite, body image, and the (social) media’s role in it all, have changed in the past five years. But the article’s author, Amanda MacMillan, quite deftly cuts through the myths and clearly states the facts. If anything, if we were so aware of the facts about cellulite so long ago, then it’s particularly sad to see ‘get rid of cellulite’ articles still so pervasive on the web. The Cellulite Facts & Myths We’re not going to go over all the myths and facts covered in the article. But here are a few that caught our eye and why we think they are especially important. Myth: Cellulite is the result of toxins in your body. We don’t like this myth because it preys on our fears of being unhealthy. Cellulite is not unhealthy, it is not triggered by ‘toxins’ or poisons in our body. It is perfectly normal to have cellulite. Fact: Cellulite might be in your genes. This one drives home the fact that you can’t get ‘rid’ of cellulite. It may be in your genetic makeup. Myth: Skin-firming creams can cure cellulite. We liked this one because we just mentioned skin-firming creams in our last post. Fact: Some foods can help reduce the appearance of cellulite. Yes, you can reduce the appearance of your cellulite. And it can be a simple as eating a healthier, balanced diet. Fact: Exercise can reduce the appearance of cellulite. Along the lines of eating a healthier diet, getting regular exercise can tone your muscles, which, in turn, makes your skin look smoother. We like this one because it shows that the real ways to help reduce your cellulite, like eating well and getting fitter, also contribute to a healthier lifestyle. Our anti-cellulite shapewear product line is clinically-proven to reduce the appearance of your cellulite. And they add a flattering shape from the moment you put them on.

Beware the Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing of Sponsored Cellulite Treatment Advice

by Nima Rafizadeh on Nov 12 2018
There we were, checking our online news feeds for stories about cellulite, and we spot one that really stands out. Among all the “Get Rid of” and “Banish” cellulite headlines, one quite realistically stated, “How to Reduce the Appearance of Cellulite and Stretch Marks”. In the world of cellulite treatment advice, the words ‘reduce’ and ‘reduction’ pop up far less than words like ‘banish, ‘rid’ and ‘cellulite busting’. Why ‘Reduce’ is Good Cellulite Treatment Advice Because it’s a perfectly normal skin condition, like freckles, the idea of getting ‘rid’ of cellulite is absurd. Try as you might, you will never get rid of all your freckles. And, try as you might, you will never get rid of all of your cellulite. But you can reduce the appearance of your freckles by staying out of the sun and covering them with makeup. And you can reduce the appearance of cellulite in lots of ways too. Why You Should Be Wary of This “Reduce the Appearance of Cellulite” Article As we read the article, we were impressed by its quick, detailed outline of cellulite and its contributing factors. We were stoked when we got to the part that read “here’s exactly how to reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks”. Sure enough, the article listed four great ways to help make your cellulite less noticeable. Eat a balanced diet Get regular exercise Drink lots of water Get proper rest But it was their fifth point that completely drained all the good, warm feelings we got from the otherwise realistic cellulite treatment advice. Get a little help from science with a product like the new … Noooo! Not a promotion for a ‘firming oil’! Even if the product delivers on its promise to make your cellulite look better, and even if the article is tagged as ‘sponsored’, here’s why it is still a clever deception. If you were to eat a more balanced, nutritious diet, exercise regularly, drink more water, and make sure you get your rest, not only will your cellulite look better, but you will be living a healthier lifestyle. But firming oil isn’t particularly healthy, and it will only reduce the appearance of your cellulite for as long as you use it.  If you’re looking for a clinically-proven way to reduce the appearance of your cellulite, check out our of anti-cellulite shapewear product line.

Learn More About Your Emotional Reactions to Cellulite to Help Face its Challenges

by Nima Rafizadeh on Sep 24 2018
We’ve told you many times before that over 90% of women have cellulite at some point in their lives, if not throughout their lives. But it’s an important fact because of the truth it reveals about cellulite itself. While you might lament the appearance of some of your other physical features, features you might not share with 90% of women, they likely don’t cause you nearly as much concern as your cellulite. Why is that? If cellulite doesn’t make you look any different than the vast majority of other women, why does it bother you so much? The answers may be too varied and complex to discuss in any one blog post, or even an entire book. But, to simplify things as much as possible, cellulite isn’t so much about how it makes you look, but about how it makes you feel. The Emotional Journey of Cellulite If something that is normal, doesn’t cause you any physical issues and isn’t unhealthy makes you feel so bad, then the problem may lie in the emotional reaction you have to it. While each one of us has our own reactions and experiences of cellulite, the following are some of the stages we can all go through in our cellulite journey. A journey that, ultimately, can have a positive ending. The Seven Stages of an Emotional Cellulite Journey Again, these may not apply to everyone, but hopefully they relate to your experience with cellulite, and help you face its challenges. 1. The Initial Panic Cellulite often sets in as women enter into adulthood. It’s something they’ve heard about and perhaps seen, but not anything they needed to worry about through their smooth-skinned youth. Then one day, you’re trying something on in the mirror and notice a dimple on your thigh for the first time. And a shiver goes down your spine. What is it? Am I getting fat? Is something wrong? it’s cellulite! You might feel anxiety, hopelessness and/or the panic from the realization that you might not get rid of this thing on your thigh. 2. Going Into Denial Shortly after the panic, you put on your outfit and head out for your day as usual. The panic and anxiety subside. For the next weeks or months, you wear all your best, most flattering clothes. You avoid looking at ‘that area’ in the mirror. You convince yourself that everything is normal (it actually is) and this isn’t happening to you. it’ll go away. 3. You Start to Obsess Inevitably, you are faced with the reality. The dimple(s) are still there. You massage and pinch them to see if they go away. You start adjusting your clothes to cover them up. Your internet bandwidth is stretched to its limits while you search the web for something, anything, that gets rid of cellulite. 4. Depression & Anxiety Set In OMG! You have the dreaded cellulite! You must cover it up. No one wants to see your ugly skin. You don’t go out, preferring to stay home in your sweat pants and baggy shirt. The ones that offer you comfort, but no solution. Will anything ever make this feeling go away?! Whatever you do, don’t look in that mirror! 5. Starting to Live With Cellulite Of course, you eventually must emerge, go to work, visit your Mom, take the children to soccer. You actually talk about your cellulite to your closest friends. What’s the problem? They have cellulite too. Had it for years. Their mothers had it. Oh?! You’re not the only one in the world with cellulite?  6. Learning to Accept Your Cellulite Sandra Bullock, Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, Paris Jackson, Lena Dunham, Hillary Duff, Demi Lovato, Cindy Crawford, Kelly Clarkson, Kate Winslet, Amy Schumer, Reese Witherspoon, Katy Perry, Tyra Banks - and, yes, we’ll say it again, over 90% of women everywhere - all have cellulite. Like so many other things about being a woman, wonderful and not so much, cellulite just goes with the territory.  7. Liberating Yourself After your shock, distress, withdrawal, finding out there’s no ‘cure’ (because there’s nothing to cure), and seeing others face their cellulite challenges and move on, the rest is up to you. Do you carry the emotional burden of cellulite for the rest of your life? Or do you choose to release yourself from it, take back your confidence and self esteem and enjoy the sense of freedom and endless possibilities they bring? If cellulite isn’t about how you look, but about how you feel, why not make yourself feel better right now? Anti-cellulite Mass & Slim shapewear instantly adds flattering shape, while also being clinically proven to improve the appearance of your cellulite.

Try to Get Over Your Cellulite

by Nima Rafizadeh on Sep 18 2018
Yes, we know, the last thing you need is someone telling you to “get over it”. But let’s cut to the chase. Getting over your cellulite, stopping your fixation on it and moving forward in your life with more self-esteem and confidence is, in fact, entirely up to you. No one or nothing will come to your rescue. Not this blog post, not any cream and no amount of crash dieting. There is no cure for cellulite and you can’t get rid of it. Now that we have all that out of the way, let’s look at how you can move on from fixating on your cellulite. And, if the opening paragraph was kinda brutally honest, that’s where you begin. Try to Accept the Truth About Cellulite One of the problems with cellulite is that it’s thought of as a skin problem. Other skin problems, like acne or wrinkles, are relatively easy to get rid of. Heck, acne often takes care of itself. Cellulite isn’t a skin problem. But because we think of it as one, we think we can get rid of it like we get rid of a pimple. If you can change your perception of cellulite, that it’s not something you can simply get rid of, then you can take steps to stop it from ruining your life. Great. Lots of good that does. If it was as simple as ‘changing your perception’, you wouldn’t have a problem with cellulite, would you? Focus on What You Can Change If you can’t change your cellulite, what can you change to help you get over your preoccupation with it? The points below are somewhat wide-ranging. But, to change your perceptions and focus on cellulite, turn to those things you can change in your life. The rest will come. 1. Your Physical Health No matter how small it is, start adding more physical activity to your day. Take the stairs. Park further from the mall entrance. Go for a walk. Similarly, start trying to eat a healthier diet. Try some hummus and carrots one night when you usually grab something sweet or salty. Eat more vegetables. Don’t starve yourself. 2. Your Mental Health Start with offering yourself the support you would offer your best friend. Listen to your inner voice, especially when its not particularly nice. Try to make it a more reasonable, understanding and inspiring voice. 3. Look Your Beautiful Self All you have is what you were born with, so make it great. Go to the spa. Talk to a stylist. Wear what makes you feel good. If you want to wear something that instantly adds flattering shape, while also being clinically proven to improve the appearance of your cellulite, try anti-cellulite Mass & Slim shapewear today.

Why You Shouldn’t Waste Your Money on These Skincare Products

by Nima Rafizadeh on Sep 13 2018
In a way, it seems like skincare products are the new fad diets. As baby boomers age, and they realize all those trendy weight-loss diets didn’t work, they’re turning to false-hope skincare products to save what’s left of their youth. Promising to get rid of everything from cellulite to eye wrinkles, skincare moisturisers, serums and complexes are everywhere promoting easy results. But, for the most part, it’s just product manufacturers finding a responsive chord in the marketplace to sell more of what they make. While a good basic moisturizer helps to keep your skin from drying out, there’s very little other benefit from many skincare products. 3 Skincare Products that are a Waste of Money Here are just a few of the products that are more a waste of money than anything else. We’re not saying these products don’t have some effect, but they are not always what their marketing and advertising promises. 1. Cellulite Creams You know this one is close to our hearts. We don’t like to see any business making money on the empty promise of getting rid of cellulite. Most cellulite creams are just moisturizers in disguise. Yes, they may make your skin look smoother, but only as long as their moisturizing effects last. They do not get rid of cellulite. 2. Skincare Supplements Yes, your skin needs lots of vitamins and nutrients to do all the amazing things it does for you. But you probably get everything you need from your diet already. Want to know the two best things you can do to make your skin look its healthiest? Always wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen when you go out and drink lots water. One stops your skin from its worst enemy, sun damage, and the other does as much moisturizing as any moisturizer, and it does it from within. 3. Face Mists Face mists should be a university case study for business and marketing courses. “How to Turn Water and Colouring Into a Must-Have Skincare Product - 101”. According to refinery29, Face mists can actually make your skin worse. In the end, a healthy diet, sun protection and lots of water are probably the best skincare products you can get. As for your cellulite, if you would like to see immediate improvement, start wearing  anti-cellulite Mass & Slim shapewear today.

Your cellulite isn’t physically painful. It doesn’t make it difficult to do anything in your day-to-day life. You don’t have to take any cellulite medication before bed. In fact, there’s nothing wrong with cellulite. It’s a normal thing that over 90% of women and many men have. So it doesn’t affect your life, right? Right? How Does Cellulite Affect Your Life? It’s different for everyone. On one extreme, you might never look at yourself in the mirror or never wear anything that exposes a single dimple on your thigh. But even those who have embraced the body-positive movement and choose to be more accepting of their cellulite, still face it everyday. They might be more comfortable with it, but it still comes up in often, either in conversation, or when they say a photo from a particularly bad angle. And, truth be told, many have to constantly remind themselves that they really are ‘comfortable’ with their cellulite. You Treat Your Cellulite Differently Than Any Other Part of Your Body So why does something that is so harmless cause us so much harm? For many reasons, we let cellulite rule our lives even while there’s no real reason that it should. In addition to feeling that it is unattractive, it can make us feel ‘fat’, unhealthy or even sloppy. And none of those are even remotely pleasant. But the feelings that cellulite conjure in us go beyond those of other similar physical traits. If you have what you feel is a less-than-attractive birthmark, maybe you cover it up when you can, but not always. But you know the birthmark isn’t going away anytime soon, so you live with it. The same is true about any other physical part of us that we aren't comfortable with. You’re not going to get rid of your chubby toes, are you? So Why Do You Try to Get Rid of Cellulite? While you never see an online article titled “12 Ways to Banish Your Chubby Toes”, it feels like you can't go online without finding countless articles like “How to Get Rid of Cellulite Fast”. But, the problem is, like your toes, you can’t get rid of cellulite, fast or slow. The One Thing You Must Do to be More at Ease With Your Cellulite You probably feel that the perfect solution to your cellulite would be to get rid of it. But you can’t get rid of it. And that’s the clue to how to stop letting cellulite rule your life. Their perfect solution is impossible. So stop expecting perfection. Instead, do everything you can to live a healthier lifestyle, eat a more balanced diet and get as active as you can. All of these have the potential to reduce the appearance of your cellulite. In other words, try to stop fighting your cellulite, fretting over it and letting it get you down. Put it to work as a motivator to help you live more healthily. If you want to do something else to help reduce your cellulite, try anti-cellulite Mass & Slim shapewear. They add flattering shape to your body the moment you put them on, and their massaging action helps reduce cellulite and inches off your body.

Healthy Eating Reduces Cellulite & It Starts with Breakfast

by Nima Rafizadeh on Aug 17 2018
Ahhh breakfast! Beautiful bright sunshine through the window. Time to slice some bananas and strawberries for your corn flakes. Linger over a cup up steaming java. Read the news. Check your Facebook updates. Ha ha. Yeah right! The reality of breakfast is a little different for most people. It might go something like this: grab a piece of toast, late for work, no time for butter, maybe get a coffee later. Breakfast done. But, unfortunately, the reality of a hurried or non-existent breakfast can make your cellulite appear worse. How a Bad Breakfast can be Bad for Your Cellulite Breakfast gets its name for a good reason. As your first big meal since dinner last night, probably over 12 hours ago, you are literally ‘breaking’ a mini ‘fast’. That makes breakfast perhaps your most crucial meal of the day. It has a significant effect on the eating you do for the rest of the day. If you have a poor breakfast , or skip it altogether, your body is really starved. And your body hates to be starved. It thinks that there’s something wrong. It’s not getting the energy it needs. It feels threatened. Its natural instincts, developed throughout evolution, tells it to go into emergency mode if anything interrupts its energy supply. Your body sees that interruption as a threat to its very existence. So it kicks into survival mode. It conserves the energy it has by slowing down your metabolism. It jump-starts powerful hunger pangs to make you eat.  That makes it more likely to overeat later in the day. And more likely to eat poorly because you just want to grab something quick, like a sugar-packed muffin, because you’re so hungry. Overeating puts your body into another bit of a tailspin. You load up on energy your body can’t use. You get the afternoon crash, and all the unused food energy gets stored as fat. And that can make you cellulite look worse. How a Good Breakfast can be Good for Your Cellulite A healthy breakfast not only avoids the hunger pangs. It fuels your body to start your day, which leaves your body ticking along nicely. It also means you’re less likely to overeat later on. And more likely to avoid unhealthy snacks to quell the pangs. It all tends to make your afternoon crash less like a crash. You don’t end up with as much or any extra energy your body can’t use, so it doesn’t store any extra fat. And your cellulite doesn’t look any worse. So eat a healthy breakfast please. And if you want to see a noticeable improvement in the appearance of your cellulite, start wearing anti-cellulite Mass & Slim shapewear today.

Why You Should Stop Trying to Reduce Cellulite

by Nima Rafizadeh on Aug 07 2018
It’s probably been with you since you’ve been an adult. It brings you down everytime you look the mirror. It makes you feel bad. So why should you stop trying to reduce cellulite? After all, even a reduction would make you feel better. You would be more likely to wear certain clothes. And you might feel better about yourself. You Should Stop Trying to Reduce Cellulite to Help You Reduce Cellulite So how's your cellulite reduction plan working so far? Have you seen noticeably less cellulite? Are you wearing that swimsuit you’ve had tucked away in the closet? The answers to these questions are why you should stop trying to reduce cellulite to help you reduce cellulite. The answers probably aren't very good. Your cellulite-reduction plan probably isn’t going very well. You haven’t seen any results. And the swimsuit is still tucked away. It’s the Way You’re Trying to Reduce Cellulite That’s the Problem There’s a reason nothing you’ve tried hasn’t worked. It’s because so much of it is doomed to failure almost from before you begin. Here’s why: It’s Based on Unreasonable Numbers One way to reduce cellulite is to lose weight. But popular weight loss diets promote unrealistic numbers and expectations to help them sell. For example, it’s easy to say all you have to do to lose weight is burn more calories than you eat. But that’s not easy to do in practice. But still you’re encouraged to reduce your calorie intake to 1800, 1400 or 1200 calories a day, and to exercise at a level that will make you lose 5 pounds a week. What’s the problem with all that? Aside from the fact that it simply doesn’t work, it sets you up for failure. When you have a ‘bad’ day and eat just a few mouthfuls more than your calorie restrictions allow, or you only lose 4.5 pounds one week, you feel like a failure. Imagine that, you lost 4.5 pounds and feel like you failed! Other numbers that set you up for failure include having to fit into a size 8 dress, or having a BMI of less than 25, or not even trying anymore because you’re over 50. Want to Reduce Cellulite? Forget the Numbers Forget the numbers or at least try some other numbers. Numbers that are focused on better health rather than trying to reach an unreasonable goal. One Half - Maybe it’s not a number, but it’s the portion of your plate that should be covered in vegetables and fruit at meal times. One quarter of your plate should be proteins, like chicken, fish or beans. And the remaining quarter plate should be whole grains, like rice or quinoa. 7 to 8 - That how many hours of sleep you need each night. In addition to bad moods, poor judgement and higher accident risk, poor sleep contributes to weight gain. 150 - You should get two and a half hours (150 minutes) of moderate to vigorous physical activity every week. 25 to 35 Grams - Lack of fibre in your diet means you absorb food energy faster than you should. When you do, and you don’t burn off that energy, it gets stored as fat. And that can make your cellulite look worse. You should eat 25 to 35 grams of fibre per day. Those numbers are easier to reach. And if you don’t, even getting part way there is still good and should never be considered a failure. Especially if you keep trying. As for your cellulite, if you would like to see immediate improvement, start wearing  anti-cellulite Mass & Slim shapewear today. It instantly adds in flatter shape to your body and thousands of tiny beads massage your skin as you wear it to help improve circulation and remove inches in waist and thigh circumference.

What If Cellulite was Really Attractive?

by Nima Rafizadeh on Jul 13 2018
Imagine that the thing that embarrasses you so much, forces you to avoid certain outfits and makes you cringe when you see it in photos actually had the opposite effect. What if your cellulite was considered attractive? Think of how your life might change. You wouldn’t hesitate to put on shorts or a swimsuit on a hot day. You’d be happy to see your beautiful self in the mirror and you’d always look forward to going to yoga class.Considering that about 90% of women and many men have cellulite, including those who are fit and at their proper body weight, it’s clear that cellulite shouldn’t really be a concern. While it might appear worse if you’re overweight, by itself, it’s not a sign of a disease, abnormality or any other health issue. What’s the Real Problem with Cellulite? If there is one thing that might cause real concern about cellulite, it is how something so relatively harmless can make us feel so bad about ourselves. And that’s the real problem with cellulite. In fact, it might be the only problem.Cellulite isn’t the real issue, how it makes you feel is. How to Tackle the Real Problem with Cellulite If how it makes you feel is the only way that cellulite affects you, then why not take steps to make yourself feel better about it?That might sound way easier said than done, but here are just a few ways to help you do just that. 1. Look for Body-Positive Media Images If there is one thing that reinforces the negative stereotype about cellulite, it is the endless bombardment of impossibly slim and smooth-skinned media images of people we see every day.Fortunately, the Body-Positive movement continues to reverse the trend by encouraging us to accept our bodies just the way they are. The result is a refreshing wave of more realistic body types in places like TV commercials and social media. Especially on Instagram, many plus-sized models and even fitness influencers are revealing their real, unphotoshopped selves for the world to see. By doing so, they make cellulite more acceptable and, perhaps best of all, more attractive. 2. Do What You Can Getting a little more exercise, eating a healthier diet and trying to slowly change your own perceptions are just a few of the things you can do to stop cellulite’s effect on you. It doesn't mean you have to make huge changes all of a sudden. In fact, it’s often better to do the opposite. Simply do what you can, make changes you’re comfortable with, one step at a time. 3. Try Shapewear If cellulite makes you feel bad in an instant, how would you feel if you could be instantly more shapely? Comfortable shapewear can make you feel better and more confident about yourself simply by wearing it. Cellulite-fighting Mass & Slim shapewear is infused with thousands of tiny ceramic beads that massage your skin as you wear it. How the Quality of Your Diet can Reduce Cellulite

by Nima Rafizadeh on Jul 06 2018
The never-ending quest for ways to reduce your cellulite seems to often lead down the road of weight loss. The idea is simple. Cellulite’s lumpy, dimpled appearance is caused by deposits of fat cells under the surface of your skin pushing between the skin’s connective tissue. As the fat cells build up, they tend to push out against the skin, while the connective tissue holds your skin back.So if you lose fat through a weight loss program, there will be less of it to push your skin out, which should reduce your cellulite. Weight Loss Diets Don’t Usually Work So They Don’t Reduce Cellulite. Simply dieting, especially using fad weight loss diets, can produce a short-term reduction in weight, but keeping it off is a different story. Nearly 65% of fad dieters regain their pre-diet weight within three years of the initial weight loss. So, unless you want to be constantly starving yourself, fad diets don’t work - for weight loss or cellulite reduction. A Diet of Quality Foods Works A study recently published in the Journal of the American Medical Association offers hope for sustained weight loss and cellulite reduction. The study’s participants went on a diet that didn’t slash the number of calories they ate each day. Instead, their diet cut back on added sugars, refined grains, and processed foods. In place of the foods they cut out, they ate more vegetables and whole foods. Here’s the Bonus: They did not count calories. In other words, they generally ate until they were satisfied. The Results: After one year on their diet of quality, nutritious foods, study participants lost and an average of about 12.5 lbs. It might not sound like a lot, but that’s about 9% of the average weight of a 40-year-old Canadian woman.Even better, considering that fat accounts for only part of your body weight, and that most of your weight loss will be in fat, 12.5 lbs is an even higher percentage of your total body fat. If you would like to start making an immediate impact on your cellulite, start eating a healthy, balanced diet, and use anti-cellulite Mass & Slim shapewear. They add flattering shape to your body the moment you put them on, and their massaging action helps reduce cellulite and inches off your body.

3 More Cellulite Headlines Busted

by Nima Rafizadeh on Jul 02 2018
Considering the movement towards more acceptance of cellulite, we were hoping we wouldn’t have to bust any more cellulite headlines. Media stories with headlines designed to get you to click on them, rather than to actually offer any real fact or truth, continue to be a major problem. Why are misleading cellulite headlines a problem? Because they continue the myths surrounding cellulite, including that it’s a health problem and that it can be ‘cured’. By itself, cellulite is not a sign of any health issues. So it can’t be cured because there’s nothing to ‘cure’. The idea of ‘curing’ bumpy skin is as ridiculous as ‘curing’ smooth skin. Let Bust Some More Cellulite Headlines!! 1. 6 Exercises to Help You Get Rid of Cellulite in 2 Weeks If you’ve read any of our other cellulite headline-busting posts, you can probably understand the issues we have with this headline. First, there’s no ‘getting rid’ of cellulite. Second, it’s not even recommended that you lose more than a couple pounds in that time. In other words, this headline promises something that’s impossible, and it promises that it will happen in an impossible amount of time.On the plus side, the exercises listed are worthwhile. 2. 7 Best Exercises to Get Rid of Cellulite on Buttocks and Thighs Fast Here’s the ‘get rid’ of thing again. But this time it’s coupled with yet another impossibility. While exercise can reduce the appearance of cellulite, you can’t target an area of your body. Sure the exercises listed are good ones, and they might help you improve your muscle tone and reduce your weight. But they will be doing that all over your body.Even worse than the headline, further down in the article, there is a graphic titled: How to Get Rid of Cellulite on Buttocks, Legs and Thighs Exercises in 30 Days. 3. The Four Grades of Cellulite and How You Can Fight Back Clever. Very clever. Many websites know that the ‘get rid of cellulite’ angle is wearing thin because most of us know better. So they write headlines to make something sound more complex and scientific, even when it isn’t either one. Cellulite is cellulite. Yes, some cellulite appears worse than others, but it has never been officially categorized by ‘grade’. Giving is such a classification also makes cellulite sound like it’s a problem. Cancer tumors have grades. Cellulite does not. If there’s one sure thing you can do to help your cellulite look better today, it is to try on one of our line of anti-cellulite Mass & Slim shapewear. Each one instantly adds flattering shape to your body and delivers a cellulite-reducing massaging action for as long as you wear it.

The Two Major Benefits of Massage Therapy for Reducing Cellulite

by Nima Rafizadeh on Jun 15 2018
A good therapeutic massage not only makes you feel great and can help you deal with a number of physical and mental ailments, but there are also benefits of massage therapy for reducing cellulite. It makes perfect sense when you think about it. Cellulite appears on your skin. Massage treatments manipulate your skin and the underlying soft and muscle tissue. So it's no surprise that something that appears on your skin can be reduced by something that treats your skin But it’s not always enough just to know that something can help. The more you know about how massage therapy can work to diminish your cellulite, the more likely you are to use it and enjoy its many other benefits. 1. Massage Improves Blood Circulation Your skin is the largest organ in your body. But, unlike almost every organ, which are mostly located in your abdomen, close to your heart, your skin is at the very ‘end of the road’ of your circulatory system. So improving blood flow at and under your skin can really make a difference. Blood brings oxygen that promotes healing and growth, and nutrients, like collagen and elastin, that strengthen the skin and make it more elastic. All of which makes it less susceptible to the puckering of cellulite 2. Improved Lymph Circulation If blood brings nutrients to help strengthen your skin, your lymph fluids help to take away bacteria, toxins and other waste materials that are not good for your skin. Without good lymphatic drainage, you may be prone to more acne, signs of aging and thinner skin. so you can imagine how thinner skin will make your cellulite look. Infused with hundreds of tiny ceramic beads, anti-cellulite Mass & Slim shapewear massages your skin for as long as you wear it. That extended massaging action can result in a reduction of cellulite in the targeted areas of your body.
